Size:	The 144 standard rooms are in thatched, stone buildings set in kaleidoscopic Tropical Gardens. All rooms are air conditioned and contain mini-bars. Safety deposit boxes are available at reception on request. All rooms have telephones and satellite TV can be supplied on request (charged extra). Cottages: The 17 cottages are all sea-facing. Rooms are larger than standard with additional furnishings.

The public areas are set around imaginative water gardens and tropical foliage with panoramic views along the coast. Towards the headland there is a terrace with excellent ocean views. A spacious sun deck area surrounds the free-form swimming pool. The pool bar offers cool drinks, snacks, delicious Italian ice-cream as well as cappuccino's and espresso's. The secluded beaches are accessed by a few steps. For those who wish to sun-bathe au naturalle, there is a private, unobserved area overlooking the sea. The Diving centre offers recognised diving courses for the beginner and expert alike, all guests are invited to a free scuba try-out. Windsurfing, snorkelling and glass bottomed boat trips over the reef are also available. Off-shore sport fishing can be arranged from the hotel (all payable locally). An 18 hole golf course is within 2 minutes walk from the front gate, this is complete with a pro-shop, daily green fees, teaching Pro, plus all one would expect from a modern local club. Safaris and excursions to the Shimba Hills, Tsavo East and West, the magical islands of Pemba and Zanzibar are but a few of the options available to the explorer who wishes to make more of the visit than purely relax. A hair dressing and massage/beauty salon is open daily for that extra pampering. For the energetic there are 2 tennis courts, beach volley ball and water polo. The Sports and Animation team are always on hand to encourage a little exertion.
