The Kenya Coast is fortunate in having some of the best fishing on the African Continent with a wide variety of top sporting game fish to be caught.  The waters off Malindi offer some of the best Sailfishing  in the world. There is a great number of other game fish, including Kingfish, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Barracuda, Dorado and Giant Trevally.  There are three types of Marlin; Blue, Striped and Black.  There is a popular "tag and release" programme. Overnight trips to the North Kenya Banks are available for those wishing to try for Broadbill Swordfish at night combined with Marlin fishing during the day. Also on offer is reef/inshore fishing and bottom fishing for such species as Red Snapper, Grouper and Shark.
