maharani12.gifThis attractive, high class restaurant, built 9 years ago, now has established its name and reputation as uniquely special on the South Coast. It has a regular clientele, and is a favourite for tourists and visitors.

An Oriental Palace, with its white crenallated rooftop and eastern domed roof, this famous Indian restaurant is ideally situated about midway along the Diani Beach Road, perfectly located for easy access by residents or guests from either end of the beach.

Set in luxuriously landscaped grounds, with rustling palms and colourful tropical flowering shrubs, rockeries and cascading illuminated fountains, there is ample car parking space within its enclosed grounds.

maharani33.jpgThe interior carries out the exotic eastern theme, with Persian rugs, hookahs and brass curved coffee pots, Mughlai wall hangings and soft Sitar music all combine to create an atmosphere to take you on a trip to the Orient.

A reception area with comfortable sofas and a well stocked bar ensure a leisurely and pleasant start to the evening, whilst you sip an aperitif and study the menu.

Whether dining in the restaurant with its large windows open to the velvety dark tropical night or on the roofop terrace under the stars (ideal for special parties), the soft sea breeze fans the diners, and adds to the special ambience which is uniquely THE MAHARANI RESTAURANT.
